Well, this is it guys. Today was our official last day abroad and in London. It has been a fun vacation and I am super happy to have gotten these opportunities but I am also very happy to be going home tomorrow. (Back to being lazy!) Keep reading below to hear about our adventures exploring the old amongst the new.

Today, we woke up at around 8 am and got breakfast downstairs. I mixed it up slightly for breakfast since there were not any sausages left and got cold cuts and an extra chocolate croissant. After breakfast, we walked to the Tower of London. It was a little more than a mile walk, which I hate doing, so it was a bit of a struggle for me but I managed and most importantly, SURVIVED. We also got to go through the Borough Food Market which was interesting and had so many different types of food from jams to seafood to spices!

Once at the Tower of London, we went straight to the building where the Crown Jewels are held. The Crown Jewels are very valuable royal ceremonial objects that were either worn during a King or Queen’s coronation or used during the banquet. No photography was allowed inside the building but I was AMAZED at the way the crowns sparkled with the thousands of gems on them. The light reflects off the crowns (and every other item) such that they glimmer and shine upon your first glance. It was truly a sight to behold. We also went to the White Tower and took photos of the Tower Bridge which is probably the most famous bridge in the city.

Afterwards, we left and walked to the Nando’s nearby for lunch. We ordered the same thing as the first night and it was just as good. On the way to Nando’s we also passed by the infamous Walkie Talkie building (It was voted the ugliest building in Europe) but could not go up until after 6pm as it was maintenance day.
So, instead we walked to the subway station and took the subway to Harrod’s, a VERY high-end and expensive department store. I mean they sold Wagyu beef cuts in the dining hall! We walked around there because my mom wanted to check it out but did not end up getting anything as it was so expensive.
After Harrod’s, we were already tired so instead of going back to the Walkie-Talkie building to go up (since it was after 6pm), we just went to the subway and headed back to our hotel.
We ended chilling in the lounge for snack time and in our room until dinner time. For dinner, we decided to stay local and go to a Japanese restaurant, Wagamama, a block away (even though I despreately wanted Italian). I got the beef brisket donburi which was actually pretty tasty and was happy, as long as I was fed. For dessert, we got the pink passionfruit and guava sorbet (they ran out of cake) which was delicious!

After dinner, we made the quick walk back to our hotel and got ready for bed. Good night everyone!

Thank you SO MUCH for reading these blogs! I hope you enjoyed getting to be a part of our family vacation. I had so much fun on this trip and even though i complained (a lot, sorry Dad!) I still enjoyed seeing things and learning about the history of them. There will NOT be a blog tomorrow night as we will be on an airplane at that time so my final two days will be combined and uploaded the day after! See you then!
